UIDAI Introduces ‘Virtual ID’ to Address Privacy Concerns
UIDAI has taken a new approach while expressing concern over the details of the Aadhaar card details. Simply creating a ‘Virtual Id’ instead of the Aadhar Car number for Sim Verification or other KYC requirements. It is 16 digits Virtual Id. UIDAI has made it clear that it is equal to Aadhaar. You can create a virtual ID from March 1 this year.
All organizations must accept this from June 1. UIDAI warned in a statement posted on Wednesday that if anyone refuses, there will be action against them. There is no possibility of knowing the information in the Aadhaar card to others. Even though UIDAI has made it clear that there is no such possibility, it has brought a virtual ID for security reasons, official sources said.
Virtual Id gives brief information which is needed in the KYC system. Aadhaar cards have already been issued to 119 crore people in the country. Now they need to create the virtual id of other requirements.
Go to UIDAI’s website and create a number of virtual IDs. This only shows the person’s name, photo, and address. Once you got a virtual id, it will be up to the prescribed period. If you want to change, the old id gets lost. A person can create virtual IDs anytime.
